Ever consider the best part of you? Now, don’t lets get carried away here, I don’t mean your belongings, family, physical attributes, home or work accomplishments. I refer to what makes you like no other, your essence, your character.

I try not to be disappointed. Do you? Disappointment is hard for me. Mostly because I really do want the best for everyone in my life & my clients too. That includes myself. AND I used to see it as a shortcoming.

Clarity. It can be an elusive creature am I right?

Why is that? I have some thoughts (I heard that!)

I have a theory mostly because it’s what happened to me, maybe you too?

I am very appreciative to you for being a part of this tribe. Because you read this column, share it, and often send me your comments, I understand that, like me, you are interested in ideas that can make your life more full, while avoiding some of the “trenches” along the way.

I’ve been learning about Instagram these past few weeks. Posts, reels, stories and ads. I am WAY out of my comfort zone there. I’m pretty sure I’m terrible at it! You probably know I have an on-line coaching practice, and as such I am on-line connecting with clients and potential clients that have an issue in their life they’d like some help with. I love my job!

What does it take to claim the life you’ve always wanted? I’ll give you a hint, it doesn’t happen by accident. Nope.

“How ya getting by these days?” When people extend that greeting, I’m guessing they are wanting to connect, but it’s a terrible question.

The older I get the more I realize that I hit the jackpot with my momma. She passed away 12 years ago. Miss her.

Wishing all the Fathers a happy one. But it’s not a “Hallmark moment” for everyone. Just as in every relationship we experience in our lifetime, sometimes the Father’s can be challenging.

OK. Just so we are tracking, so far in 2022 we’ve had Inspiration January, Determination February, Confidence March, and now we are in, ready? Renewal April. Taa Daa!

Do you have an inner voice? It’s a trick question, you do. Your inner voice is your thinking. Your brain offers you thoughts that you attach to the many wonderful and sometimes awful circumstances in your world. It’s the human experience.

Have you ever noticed that confident people don’t worry? Really, think about the most self-confident person you know (not arrogant, that’s a whole other topic!)

In my world, there’s a lot of talk about investment. Not 401K Roth IRA, stocks and bonds. Investment meaning ownership, buy-in, skin-in-the-game.

I’m glad you are back. Last month I focussed on Inspiration as our theme. I explored inspirational quotes, your word for 2022, direction, optimism and permission. For February I thought the theme could be Determination. The combination of inspiration and determination packs quite a blow, do you agree?

If you were with me last week I had a bit to say about determination. So how’s intention different? Heck if I know, but I think they are cousins.

Do your eyes glass over when the concept of goal setting is mentioned? Mine do! I like the idea, really I do. It’s just the drudgery of sitting down and determining goals that are “good enough” and “interesting” and “doable”! I’m always convinced I’m doing it wrong!

A while ago I was feeling the vacant space that pre-pandemic was filled with trips, connection, friendships and celebrations. Missing my conversations, walks and counsel, I wondered if anyone else had the same nudging.
